About the Singer

Western folk singer-songwriter Nellie Clay hangs her hat in Okemah, Oklahoma – not coincidentally the birthplace of Woody Guthrie.

A ramblin’ gal herself, Nellie recorded her new forthcoming EP “Long Sunsets” in Chicago, IL to work with friend and producer Joe Shadid, who also sings and plays on the record. In her own words, this project is “mostly about love, compassion and strength, no regrets and at least one drunk a**hole”. Take these songs and their beautiful harmonies with you across the prairie. “Long Sunsets” follows up an earlier EP titled “We Got Songs to Sing”, and two full length records, “Born Too Late” and “Never Did What I Shoulda Done”.
